CredoAutomation Man is in the business of creating better manufacturing processes. If there is a way to make something run faster or take something difficult and make it easy we will find a way. We always put our customers first and run the extra mile to keep them happy.The Founder...Hugh Ferguson started Automation Man in 1989 as an EDM consulting business. He worked with many companies in the Los Angeles area doing programming, training and creating EDM processes. Previously Hugh worked for Mitsubishi as the west coast applications engineer. He trained, developed technology and wrote programs for such companies as Mattel, HR Textron, B&B Manufacturing, Caco Pacific, Dowty Aerospace, Compression Engineering, Alcoa, Mercury Die, Caltron, James Ingram Mold, Advanced EDM Automation, AMT, Allied Signal, VP Manufacturing, Hughes, Cal Tech, EDM Labs, AAA EDM, Moog, GE, NASA and many others.While creating so many programs for a variety companies, Hugh decided that there must be a better way to program faster. There were plenty of programs for the mills, lathes and the wire EDMs but there was nothing for the sinker EDM. After calling several software manufacturers, they all said that Sinker EDM software was too cumbersome to program as there are too many variables in the EDM process and sinkers aren't used for contouring. Teaching himself Basic Programming Hugh found the power of computer aided programming. He decided to go back to college learning Visual Basic, and C programming. Soon thereafter, Inception was created and it has been growing ever since. Most of our software growth has come from our customers ideas. We keep in touch with our users and we have them send us wish lists for functions they would like too see. There is nothing better than having a customers eyes light up when we bring in the new version with their idea built in.
